The Massenberg Group, a portfolio company of the German fund DPE Deutsche Private Equity (“DPE”), has acquired the French company Aéro Solutions SAS (“Aéro Solutions”). The acquisition is subject to the condition precedent of regulatory approvals. The seller of Aéro Solutions is the company’s founder and president, Sebastian Thielkes, who will continue to lead the company. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction.
Founded in 2013, Aéro Solutions is one of Europe’s leading companies specializing in complex maintenance work on cooling towers in the energy and industrial sectors, with approximately 30 employees.
Massenberg and Aéro Solutions, both leading experts in their respective market segments, complement each other perfectly with their services: With its second acquisition in a year, the Massenberg Group is expanding its portfolio of building maintenance services to include cooling tower repairs, thereby offering its customers in Germany and France even more expertise from a single source. Thanks to this transaction, the Massenberg Group now has more than 450 employees across 15 locations in three countries and continues to expand.
In June 2019, DPE acquired a stake in Massenberg together with Heiner Stahl, CEO of the Massenberg Group.
DPE is a growth-oriented investment fund focused on mid-sized companies, which invests in companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
